Team Hoyt, I salute you !
Today, a video of some guy doing an ironman with his disabled son, is floating around Facebook.
Like so many others, I saw it. And it is moving. Very moving. I of course had to find out if this was for real. And guess what, it is ! The two guys, Dick Hoyt and his son Rick Hoyt, have been doing this since 1972. Over 200 marathons ! Goood DAMN ! What amazes me, is the effort, and the strength Dick Hoyt must have. What moves me, is his affection and dedication towards his son, and helping him feel "not handicapped". I also read that a lot of times, nobody wanted to run beside them. I'll run with those guys any day of the week. You can read more about Team Hoyt here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Team_Hoyt
